Marksx Media and Marksx Capital in conjunction with its strategic partners Icon Productions and Robert Joske Management, together with industry leading consultants, are planning and developing to build Sydney’s second major film and television studio. The studio will be of a new worldclass movie studio and associated cultural, community and commercial facilities which are designed to foster creativity, innovation, excellence and community interaction in the studio.
The studio will cater to both international and local productions, incorporating cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, ensuring a thriving environment for filmmakers and crew members. The cultural, community and commercial facilities will provide a broad range of integrated services which will enhance the user experience and allow both filmmakers, crew members and the community to share in the overall ambience of the facilities.
Sydney Studios will have a scale and associated cutting edge technology comprising 6 sound stages, construction areas, pre and post-productionfacilities, editing suites and theatrette for producers, talent and crew. The studio will also provide related adjoining amenities such as hotel, restaurants, cinema and a commercial cluster complex where companies and people from related industries can thrive in a holistic creative environment.The studio will also partner with a leading film and production school to provide an educational pathway for students and indigenous talent. The total area of Sydney Studios will comprise 65,000m2 of built form on a total lot size of 110,000m2.
